M' pa ka viv san ou
As we sang this chorus in church last night I couldn't help but be amazed by the transformation that has taken place over the past year. These words literally mean "Tell me what to do, I can't live without you" and as I watched each of the Freedom House girls singing this to the Lord I couldn't help but have tears in my eyes. They have all come from such difficult situations in their past, but they are all able to sing this with such faith and trust now. I know that they all still have a lot of healing to do, but Jesus is being glorified as restoration is taking place in their lives.
Mark 5:34And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”
There was a team of young ladies here last week that did a Bible study with the Freedom girls over Mark 5. As we were talking one of the team members pointed out verse 34 and how Jesus doesn't just say "your faith has made you well", instead he says "Daughter, your faith has made you well". He doesn't just heal us, He makes us his daughters. What a sweet and powerful truth. We are daughters of the Most High King and He loves us no matter how broken we are. He will turn ashes into beauty every single time.........that He may be glorified.
Isaiah 61:3
to grant to those who mourn in Zion—
to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit;
that they may be called oaks of righteousness,
the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.
to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit;
that they may be called oaks of righteousness,
the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.
P.S. I know I still owe everyone an update on Richcarde....it's coming soon....well, as soon as I have time to type it all into a blog :)
